Where you are heading, not where you are

What did Yosef see in the dreams of the royal Baker and Vintner that indicated where each one was heading? One thought is that the Vintner was developing in his dream. He started with grapes, – a raw material, – and went forward to make wine from it. That’s progress, and it portends good. The Baker, on the other hand, began in his dream with fully baked breads. From there it was all downhill; the birds came and ate of them. That’s a bad sign. The sign wasn’t determined by where you started from, but by whether you are going up or down. And that’s an important rule in life too!
