When Moshe saved the daughters of Yisro it says that they had already drawn water and filled the watering troughs. The other shepherds came and chased them away and Moshe saved the girls. It would seem that his job was over. Yet when recounting the event to their father they said “he even drew the water for us!”. Why did he need to draw water if the troughs were already full to the overflowing? (See Meforshim)
And also, why didn’t he draw for them the water before they were assaulted?
