Deliberate in our service

We discussed the prohibition of planting a tree next to the Mizbeach, the alter. The Rambam explains that common practice was to plant a tree next to idols to attract people there, I guess because its shady and nice. Once they came around they would worship there too. That’s exactly why we don’t want that for the Beis hamikdash; no by-the-way type of business here, and no coming for tree-shade. Our service of Hashem is deliberate and planned.
